Wild! Short films come in all shapes and sizes, and with people from all walks of life. For this one back in 2018 I met my long-time producing partner Emma when she walked into my work place at the time (BorrowLenses.com) and wanted some help in choosing gear because her DP just dropped from her production which was set to start in less than 48-hours.
Emma, whom at the time was heading up a software-security department at Square (yes that square) and in between meetings and helping her husbands company (founder of his-own multi-million dollar software company) she got a degree from the Miser School of Acting in San Francisco. With Miser actors in-tow Emma wrote her first short and brought Alex into it 48—hours before principle photography started.
Would you believe that it actually turned out and looks good?! hahaha. We were all a little surprised.
This is why Emma and I are producing partners now and have done multiple commercials and films together. Her as a Director myself as the DP and together we Produce.
