In Embark Trucks LA, we filmed the first-ever AI semi-truck to legally operate on public roads in partnership with Knight & Swift, highlighting the truck’s real-world application hauling freight across Los Angeles. Shot both in studio at Thunder Studios—with the largest softbox on the West Coast—and on the road, this project marks a significant milestone in autonomous trucking. At Thunder Studios, we captured the truck’s innovative design and technology under meticulously crafted lighting. The massive softbox created a soft, diffused light to enhance every detail of the truck’s sensors and features. We also collaborated with an LA Local 600 camera team to ensure precision and professionalism in every shot. We then transitioned to the road, capturing the truck’s seamless integration into real-world traffic across LA. The combination of cinematic studio shots, dynamic on-location footage, and a skilled crew provided an inside look at how Embark’s AI trucks are transforming the future of freight.
