Demolition
A High-Tension Thriller

A gripping narrative driven by suspense, striking visuals, and immersive production design.

Demolition is a high-tension thriller that explores the raw intensity of human conflict. Inspired by the visual style of Sicario, the film leans into moody cinematography, stark contrasts, and an ever-present sense of unease to heighten the story’s tension. Shot in San Mateo and San Francisco, the production transformed real locations into immersive, lived-in spaces, with exceptional production design turning a San Francisco home into an abandoned, derelict setting that amplifies the film’s atmosphere.

As Director of Photography and Producer, I worked closely with the director to craft a visually gripping and tension-filled experience. The cinematography emphasized deliberate framing, rich shadows, and carefully controlled movement to mirror the film’s emotional intensity. Inspired by Sicario, the lighting and camera work were designed to keep the audience on edge, using slow push-ins, shallow depth of field, and dynamic lighting setups to reinforce the suspense.

Shooting on location in San Francisco and San Mateo, we utilized real environments to build an authentic world. Careful lighting choices, precise color grading, and strategic camera placements helped shape the film’s stark realism while maintaining a cinematic feel. Every frame was meticulously crafted to serve the film’s narrative and heighten its intensity.
